Xbox One Region Locked - Will Not Work Outside of 21 Launch Countries

Were you considering getting a Xbox One? Interested in the exclusive games that it had to offer? Didn't mind the 24-hour check-ins and used game restrictions? If you live in the Philippines, Microsoft won't even let you. At least not just yet. According to a disclaimer on Xbox.com regarding pre-orders for the Xbox One, the next generation console will only be supported in these countries on launch:

Australia Austria Belgium Brazil Canada Denmark Finland France Germany Ireland

Italy Mexico Netherlands New Zealand Norway Russia Spain Sweden Switzerland United Kingdom United States

In addition to only being supported in these regions, the disclaimer also states:

Xbox One games are for activation and distribution only in specified geographic regions.

Twitter user Robert Hallahan wanted to confirm this issue and tweeted @XboxSupport, the official Microsoft Xbox Twitter account. A representative on the account confirmed the disclaimer's text. You can check out the full twitter conversation here.

If you were thinking of importing the console, that wouldn't work either. You would have to wait until the console and it's games are available in your region.

E3 2013: Destiny game demo and gameplay trailer

Bungie's next title after the Halo series is Destiny and they have finally revealed gameplay footage for us to take in. I've always been curious to how this online FPS game would play out. These two videos pretty covers that.

Aside from this game looking gorgeous, Destiny really gives the Halo meets Borderlands feel. I would love it if Bungie would go more into detail in terms of character customization and progression. I wonder though if were going to constantly pick up items during each fight(something similar to Diablo or Borderlands) or only during specific enemies in the game.

If you're sold into getting this game, you're in luck. You don't necessarily have to make a decision on what next-gen console to get in order to play this game, Destiny will also be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Bungie and Activision is already thinking about Destiny in years to come, with sequels and added content, so this game will definitely be around for a long time.

Destiny is planned for a 2014 release.

E3 2013: Final Fantasy XV Battle gameplay first look

Final Fantasy Versus 13 converted to Final Fantasy XV seemed likely when Square announced last Feb that they have something to show at E3. The game, just like any Final Fantasy game that came before it, always look amazing, but what about the gameplay? Here's another trailer released that gives us a good look at what looks like an action-oriented Final Fantasy.

It's obvious in this video that it won't be the Final Fantasy most people are familiar with, but this series has always been about redefining itself with each title. XV won't be any different and at this point I'll keep my mind open to what they plan for this new entry, because It would feel great to finally play a great Final Fantasy game again.

E3 2013: Final Fantasy XV Trailer with English Subtitles (formerly known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII)

If you've been following Final Fantasy Versus XIII, you'd know of it's shaky development cycle. With Tetsuya Nomura halting development on this to work on other games like Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance and Final Fantasy XIII-2, months and months pass where we get no update about Final Fantasy Versus XIII leading many to believe that the game was just outright cancelled.

That is not the case as Square Enix announced during Sony's E3 press conference that Final Fantasy Versus XIII is back and under a new name, Final Fantasy XV. Shown with a significant amount of gameplay and now running on the PS4, we're all glad that this game isn't dead.

Final Fantasy XV will be released on PS4, PC and Xbox One. Are your bodies ready?
