The DualSense Edge Launches on January 26 and Will Cost $200

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that their highly customizable version of the PS5 controller called the DualSense Edge will launch on January 26, 2023 and will cost $200. Pre-orders for the controller go live next week, October 25. 

DualSense Edge launches directly through PlayStation first on January 26


Pre-orders will currently only be available to those in the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The PlayStation Edge will first be available directly from PlayStation through direct.playstation.com on January 26, 2023. It will then be offered through participating retailers starting February 23,2023.

You can do a lot with the DualSense Edge to tailor your preference for any game as the controller features:

  • Swappable stick caps

  • Changeable back buttons (which can be mapped to any input)

  • Adjustable trigger stops and dead zones

  • Stick sensitivity adjustment

  • Quick controller profile swap and audio adjustment

  • Swappable stick modules

With it being a PS5 controller, it will also feature haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

The controller then comes with a USB-braided cable with a connector housing that allows you to securely lock onto the controller. You then have a compact case to not only house the Edge but also store your extra controller pieces.

Here’s a quick rundown of what will be available when purchasing a DualSense Edge:

  • DualSense Edge wireless controller

  • USB braided cable

  • 2 Standard caps

  • 2 High dome caps

  • 2 Low dome caps

  • 2 Half dome back buttons

  • 2 Lever back buttons

  • Carrying case

Replaceable stick modules will be sold separately and will cost $19.99. Though, Sony didn’t mention if we can buy other pieces found in the package separately, such as theUSB braided cable or extra standard caps.

There is currently no mention if the DualSense Edge will be available in Asia on the same dates above.
