BioShock Infinite DLC brings us back to Rapture

  BioShockInfinite_burialatsee_DLC_ss-01

Irrational Games has finally revealed Bioshock Infinite's DLC. A bit late, but better late than never. Two DLC's were announced; Clash in the Clouds, and Burial at Sea story-driven DLC bringing us back underwater city Rapture.

Burial at Sea revolves around Booker and Elizabeth once again, but with a different story. The connection between the original and this story is unknown, but I'm guessing that's part of the fun and appeal to the DLC. It's a two-part story content with Burial at Sea being the first part planned for a release sometime in fall(around September). Have a look at the trailer below.

The combination of Infinite's characters in the world of Rapture makes me want to do a complete marathon of the series. The connection between the original story and the DLC content is still unknown, but knowing the people in Irrational Games, they are keeping that secret as the treat for having the added content.

The next DLC announced is simple. A challenge mode that lets you go against waves of enemies, with certain objectives to accomplish, as well as four maps to play this new mode. The usual is added, achievements, leaderboards, and extra unlocks for the game. Have a look at the trailer below.

Clash in the Clouds gets released on July 30, or sometime tomorrow.

Burial at Sea and Clash in the Clouds are both included in the Season Pass of the game.

What do you think of the DLC? Worth the long wait?

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Live-action trailers setting the tone

The-Bureau-XCOM-Declassified 2K Games has released the latest live-action trailer for Bureau XCOM Declassified. A third person tactical shooter that aims to apply the same deep strategic elements known in the XCOM franchise. Lost star Dominic Monaghan (also Pippen in Lord of the Rings) takes on the role of Agent Ennis Cole reporting on the first event in Pima. The first video ended with two choices that viewers get to pick by voting via Twitter. The new trailer shows the same trailer again, but now with Agent Cole's fate decided.

First The Decision trailer, for those that haven't seen the previous video. So the latest trailer The Chase will make a bit of sense.

The Decision

The Chase

I appreciate these kinds of trailers that engage the viewers by giving them a choice. It's a very short mini-series to set the tone of The Bureau. Did Cole survive? We'll just have to see. 2K Games plans to release two more live-action trailers leading up to the release of the game.

Bureau XCOM Declassified releases on August 20 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Oh, and just in case you have no idea what it looks like gameplay-wise, here's a good look at Bureau XCOM Declassified in action. I'm interested, and might give this game a go on day one. I'm a sucker for XCOM games, so I'm crossing my fingers on this one.

Outlast release date announced, enter the asylum on September 4

Outlast-ss01-e1374706345993.jpg

Outlast-ss01 Red Barrels are all set to release Outlast, a survival horror that got a lot of attention during E3. It has everything a horror game needs - A scary atmosphere, creatures chasing after you, and a story involving your character doing something stupid like going inside an abandoned asylum with a camera alone......at night.

September 4 is the date on the PC and will cost you $19.99.

What's interesting about this game is the use of the camera.  The night vision on the camera is your source of light and we all know how that works. Hopefully Outlast will give the horror genre a boost it deserves since we hardly get games like these.

Outlast was also announced for the PS4. No word if this will be a release title or will come out  sometime next year.

Huge mod for Skyrim used as a job application to Bethesda

Skyrim_mod_Falskaar_ss01 Mods is one of the big perks in PC, especially when it comes to playing games like Skyrim. The mod community creates these to enhance the experience, and share it to the world. They are one talented bunch, but one modder in particular goal in creating this amazing mod - To hopefully land a job at Bethesda.

Nineteen-year old Alexander J. Velicky developed a mod called Falskaar that adds 25 hours of unique content, complete with new voice acting and an original sound score. The passion and determination is inspiring, he invested around 2,000 hours into this mod with his family all behind him, providing the support he needs. Have a look at the trailer for Falskaar below.

With work like this, Bethesda should take notice and get in contact with Velicky. With results like this, heck any big studio would love to take this kid under their wing. Kudos to him, and I hope he does land that dream job at bethesda.

I might just reinstall Skyrim just for this mod because additional 25 hours of content is no joke.

You can download the mod right over at Skyrim Nexus.
