Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Comic-con 2013 trailer

lightning_returns_comiccon A new trailer for Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII was released in this year's San Diego Comic Con. It is said that the trailer focuses on the characters and the battle system, but it didn't look that way to me.  Have a look, and you'll probably see what I mean.

All I see is a big emphasis on Lightning's many costumes. Granted, changing Lightning's looks on the fly is part of the battle system, but I can't help but remember that god awful Final Fantasy sequel that shouldn't have happened.

Still interested in the Final Fantasy XIII series? I've given it two tries and I'm not sold yet if I want to see the "end" of it all.

Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII is set for a February 2014 release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Finally, a Grand Theft Auto V gameplay trailer

GTA-5 Since the reveal of Grand Theft Auto V, we've haven't seen any kind of gameplay. We were given the look of the new city, the things we can do, the character's we'll meet and play as. Now, the circle is complete. Feast your eyes on the first gameplay trailer for GTA V.

When they revealed that GTA V had three protagonist and can be switch at anytime, I didn't think it would be used in this manner. Switching from character to character during intense moments is pretty interesting since you get to be involved in the most exciting parts of the mission.

Everything else shown? Like, the things you can do in your free time? Well, we're quite familiar with that thanks to past GTA games.

Multiplayer was also teased at the end of the trailer showing that there are have a lot to show. Looks like it's going to be chaotic for sure.

Grand Theft Auto V will be released worldwide September 17 on PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

Deadpool launch trailer is hilarious

Deadpool-GameActivision has released the launch trailer for the antihero game Deadpool, and just like past trailers, it's hilarious. Deadpool! Bang! Babes! Mayhem! Oh and to give you a bit of a heads up, there's dubstep.

It looks great, but I have a feeling we'll get entertained by Deadpool's crazyness more than the actual gameplay. Activision has the tendency to hide things we might not like in their trailers, so I have my guard up on this one.

High Moon Studio's Deadpool is coming out today, June 25 in the US and other countries on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. No word if it will be available in the Philippines this week.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z

dbz battle of z 01 And here we have yet another Dragon Ball Z game. Even though the series ended more than a decade ago, people still want that Super Saiyan fix. I know I do.

From a glance, it looks to be like the Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi graphics with the older gameplay style of the previous Tenkaichi/Raging Blast games but with the added twist of co-op or team battles with up to eight players. The team battles aren't new since they already did this on the PSP with Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team.

I guess the Super Butoden-esque gameplay style of Ultimate Tenkaichi didn't sit well with players so Bandai opted to go back to an older system which isn't bad. I'm still hoping we get a successor to Burst Limit with the battle system of Shin Budokai on home consoles. I doubt we'll see it but a guy can dream.

The trailer only shows the Saiyan saga and Frieza saga. I hope they add the Buu saga and hell, even the GT cast. The Buu saga not being included in some of the recent games is just heartbreaking. I do hear that Goku's Super Saiyan God form will be playable.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z will be coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PS Vita.
