Monster Hunter: World Is Coming To PC Sooner Than We'd Hoped For
/The PC will play host to the world of Monster Hunter sooner than we expected. While Monster Hunter: World was originally pinned for a Fall/Autumn date for release on PC, Capcom announced that the game will be making its debut on desktop computers (or gaming laptops) on August 9, 2018.
In our review of the game, Too Much Gaming creative director Carlos Hernandez said that Monster Hunter: World “is more accessible than ever,” a feat accomplished “without sacrificing the quirks and features that made [it] popular its fans. This could arguably be the best title in the series, and it sets a new high for gamers that love the endgame grind.”
Since then Monster Hunter: World has become Capcom’s biggest-selling game, shifting six million copies in under a month, and eight million copies worldwide in less than six months. “This is the first time we’ve taken a mainline Monster Hunter game to PC," producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said to PC Gamer in a written Q&A, "so we wanted to take the time to get it right and do the proper research and preparation."
Collaborations like cross-promotional Final Fantasy XIV event that let players fight Final Fantasy’s Behemonth and other events that offered costumes based on Mega Man, Street Fighter and Devil May Cry and “other additional content” from the console versions will “be coming to PC for free at a later date.
But what enthusiasts of the self-styled “master race” want to know is how Monster Hunter: World will look. Even on consoles, the game is pretty good looking and the least we can hope for are higher, steadier framerates on PC. According to Capcom, the game will maintain parity with the console version’s visuals at launch, but free future updates will make improvements.

And the recommended hardware, albeit to play at a locked 30fps at 1920 x 1080 resolution on High detail settings:
