Studio Motive and Marvel Announces a Single-player Iron Man Game

Motive is a rather busy studio as the Dead Space Remake developer and EA announced a single-player, third-person Iron Man game. It is the first of “several” Marvel titles currently in development at EA.

The team at Motive responsible for the new Iron Man game is being led by Olivier Proulx, who is known for his work on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game that was released back in 2021.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the talented team at Motive Studio to bring their original vision of one of Marvel’s most important, powerful and beloved characters,” said Bill Rosemann, Vice President and Creative Director at Marvel Games. “Their experience delivering both established entertainment worlds and thrilling gameplay — combined with their authentic passion for the armored icon — will fuel our quest to deliver a love letter to a legendary hero in the form of the ultimate Iron Man video game.”

Based on the announcement from EA, the Iron Man game is currently in the pre-production phase. The single player action game will feature an original narrative and aims to make players “feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man”.

That’s all the details revealed so far and they plan to share more as development progresses.

The Montreal-based studio Motive was recently known for their work on Star Wars: Squadrons and now is also hard at work in revitalizing the Dead Space series with a remake of the original first game as the Dead Space remake is set to launch on January 27, 2023.
