Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks
/I looked up fatality compilations of various characters from Mortal Kombat. As I came across a video showing off all of Liu Kang's fatalities from the first MK game up until the latest, I saw quite a few that I have never seen before. They were gruesome, nicely animated and over the top compared to most Mortal Kombat titles. Wondering where I saw those from, I remembered that there was a Mortal Kombat 2 player co-op brawler that came out for the PS2. That game was Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks.
I just picked up the game yesterday, popped it in, picked Kung Lao, and proceded to kill some Barakas. I gotta say it's a pretty awesome game. I don't remember any of my friends talking about this PS2 title back when I was in Highschool and with MK games during that time being kind of "meh", I thought this was a throw away title. I was still very interested in playing this before but I missed out on a lot of PS2 games during it's reign.
I'll definitely be playing more of this and you can probably catch it live on http://www.justin.tv/acicon this weekend.
