Playstation C.A.M.P released the first trailer for Tokyo Jungle. A post apocalyptic setting with animals fending for themselves in a now deserted city. It's a survival action game and yes you play as various animals. When I saw the trailer, I was just left confused. I guess I'm just shocked at the concept. See for yourself.
The game is out on June 7 2012 in Japan. Will it get an english port? We'll just have to see. I just can't see people spending money to play as a Deer or a small dog.
Playstation Magazine posted some concept art of The Last of Us giving us an idea of the game's world. Naughty Dog revealed The Last of Us as their new project and a reveal trailer was shown during this year's VGA's. If you haven't checked it out, I highly suggest you take a look at it. This is the first set of concept art released by Naughty Dog, and from it we get an idea on what to expect from this Playstation 3 exclusive title.
This picture alone already hints the kind of gameplay it will have. Classified as a survival horror, you be sneaking around and taking cover in a 3rd person perspective. With this concept art and trailer, it looks like Joel and Ellie will be going against the disease that ruined their world other survivors also trying to make it through the day.
This page above makes me think The Last of Us is Ellen Page(Juno, Whip It) meets I Am Legend with Naughty Dog directing. Will it's already confirmed that Ellen Page has nothing to do with the project, the character Ellie has a strong resemblance to the actress and is obviously their reference. Her personality is also similar.
Before the trailer was revealed in the VGA's and before we knew Naughty Dog is behind the game, people found a clue in Uncharted 3 that hinted that Uncharted creators are behind this new exclusive title. Other gamers also confirmed that this clue was not placed during a patch and was intentionally placed when the game was shipped. Cool stuff. Check out the clue below.
The Last of Us is an exclusive title for the Playstation 3 and is said to be aiming for a Q4 2012 release or early 2013.
