Dead Space 3 the story so far, demo incoming

EA just released a 3 minute video that serves as a recap of what happened before Dead Space 3. It's a refresher for the people who need one. But for those that haven't touched the first two games, major spoilers ahead.

A demo for Dead Space 3 is scheduled for January 22. If you own an Xbox 360 though, you can opt to get the demo a week early. Getting it a week ahead is nothing special, but if you really really want to be the first few players that have played Dead Space 3 before it hits retail on February 5, register away.

[UPDATED -12/22/12]Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII debut trailer leaked

First trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has been revealed! Well, by accident really. Game Trailers released the debut trailer early by accident. Right after it went live, it was quickly taken down from the site. It was apparently planned for a weekend reveal. The damage is done though and the trailer is now roaming around the net. So far the trailer is up on youtube, but I suggest you take a peek now before it gets taken down. 

UPDATE - Sadly, Square Enix has taken down the video, but I found another one just in case anybody missed it. Take a look before Square Enix gets a hold of this one. When the debut trailer gets officially released by Square, I will then replace the old video above with the new one.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will conclude Lightning's story and from the looks of it, she's rocking a new set of attire for the third game. We also get to see actual gameplay footage of the game with Lightning going solo this time around.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is set for 2013 on Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.

Latest Fuse trailer just makes me miss Overstrike more

Fuse is an upcoming 4-player coop third-person action game being developed by Insomniac Games (Resistance, Ratchet and Clank). If you remember EA's 2011 press conference, this title was first revealed under the name Overstrike, but was sadly changed, and now we see a matured and a more military-like version of the game.

Now after seeing that trailer, you might think, "oh ok cool, a coop game". But if you saw what the game was when it was called Overstrike, your reaction to the trailer might be a bit different. check it out below.

I'm not too sure what to say about the change in this new IP. The personality and style was completely scrapped, and with it now rebranded as Fuse, the once interesting concept has been replaced with a  more serious tone that I believe has been done too many times in shooters. If I had to pick only one game to be developed over Insomniac, it would be Overstrike in a heart beat.

Fuse is set for an early 2013 release for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Tomb Raider's 'Guide to Survival' video series

Crystal Dynamics is planning a series of developer diary's for Tomb Raider, and the first one, called "Smart Resourceful Lara", is now out. They explain core concepts in the game that lets Lara improve her equipment, learn new abilities, and see key components in the game in order to progress.

Everybody loves an Origins story, especially when it's about one of the most iconic female protagonist in gaming history. Everything shown so far about this game is completely out of what we'd expect from a Tomb Raider game, which is a good thing. This is a reboot after all. It's focus on how Lara Croft becomes the character we all know from past games, it's dark and harsh environment, plus the strong emphasis on survival, makes Crystal Dynamic's next take on the Tomb Raider series one of the most anticipated games for 2013. Well, for me that is.

Tomb Raider is currently planned for a March 5 release for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Demo coming to North America next month

If you're eager to try Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance and take Raiden out for a spin, you could buy the Zone of Enders HD Collection to get the demo, but I highly suggest you hold off for one more month because a demo is coming to North America.

This upcoming demo is the same demo already released in Japan and on every copy of the Zone of Enders HD Collection, so gamer's who have already tried that demo - Don't expect anything new.
