Dragon Ball FighterZ Release Date Confirmed, Plus Two New Characters Join The Fight
/Bandai Namco announced that the 3v3 fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ hits shelves on January 28, 2018.
Together with the release, they also confirm two more characters joining the roster - Nappa and Captain Ginyu.
Captain Ginyu is one of the most memorable characters in the Dragon Ball franchise simply because of his Ginyu Forces (shown above). Just look at them, what's there not to love? But Captain Ginyu seems interesting since he won't be heading into the battle alone. He will have his entire force backing him up in the form of assists, which adds more crazy to the game. The developers Arc System Works also added in Ginyu's infamous body swap technique, allowing players to swap characters. That sounds a little insane and probably problematic in terms of balancing.
Nappa, Vegeta's former partner, also joins the fray with a few Saibamen to help him in battle. Poor Yamcha.
The Many Arcs
Bandai Namco also added in more details about the game's story mode. There will be three perspectives that players can experience - the Super Warriors Arc gives players the perspective of the Saiyans, Super Villain Arc is the perspective of the big baddies, while the Android Arc is....well you get the idea.
Pre-orders are now available, and those that do purchase the digital version of the game is given early access to the game's Open Beta that's expected to hit around January of 2018. No details were given yet as to how much of a head start will be given to players, but those that pre-order will get an early unlock of Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, as well as 2 exclusive lobby avatars, if that's your thing.
Dragon Ball FighterZ looks good everytime Bandai Namco decides to shows off this crazy 3v3 fighting game, which is considered as the most highly anticipated fighting game for 2017. It will be out on January 26, 2018 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
For those eager to try out the game, Dragon Ball FighterZ will be one of the games available at the PlayStation booth during ESGS 2017 in the Philippines.
