Red Dead Redemption 2's Latest Trailer Confirms It's A Prequel

Rockstar Games has finally released another trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 but this time with a lot to show.

"the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive. Coming Spring 2018 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems."

If you put the gorgeous visuals aside, you will soon notice that this game is indeed a prequel to the first game. The most obvious indication is at the end when we hear the new lead character Arthur Morgan talking to Dutch, leader of the Van Der Linde gang, saying he will always have his back. In the first game, the infamous gang gets hunted down by the authorities with the help of John Marston and it doesn't go well for them, especially Dutch.

The story of Red Dead Redemption 2 revolves around the gang and it looks like we'll see more characters from the first game appearing. There's even a big chance of John Marston showing up since he was a big part of Van der Linde.

This new trailer focused on the story, so it's hard to pinpoint what features we might get in the prequel. There are train robberies sure, but to what extent?

Rockstar Games is taking its time when it comes to releasing information about Red Dead Redemption 2. The last time we heard about this game was back in May when they announced that is now delayed to 2018 since it was first planned for a 2017 release.
