Destiny 2 Guide - The “God Rolls” for the Crowning Duologue Rocket Launcher
/Destiny 2 is now on its 21st season with Season of the Deep, and during the last few weeks of the season we have this year’s Solstice event that features a Strand rocket launcher called Crowning Duologue. If you are looking to farm this new item, here are the best perks to look out for during your runs.
To get the Crowning Duologue, you’ll have to play the Solstice seasonal event called Bonfire Bash as it has a chance to drop after the event ends.
Crowning Duologue Rocket Launcher God Rolls
This rocket launcher is the first Strand type of its weapon class. What’s interesting about this new addition is that it’s a precision frame rocket launcher, meaning it won’t give you the max damage output with a single rocket, so don’t expect this to replace your Hothead or any Adaptive/Aggressive frame rocket launchers as they will still hit harder. What it will bring you is fast damage output in a small window and good crowd control thanks to its origin trait, plus it’s a viable choice for fast targets thanks to it having a built-in lock on when aimed.
As for its Origin perk called Dream Work, think of it as a built-in Clown Cartridge as any assist you do from other weapons will overflow its max magazine from one to two. It’s even easy to trigger, making it more likely to have two rockets at the ready when you swap to the Crowning Duologue.
Best Columns 3 and 4 Perk Combination
Demolitionist and Chain Reaction/Cluster Bomb
This is the perfect perk combination for the weapon simply because it pairs nicely with the Dream Work origin perk. When you get an assist and load up two rockets, fire each one in rapid succession, then quickly throw your grenade for an additional rocket ready to be fired. It’s a nice quick burst of damage with either Chain Reaction for added crowd control or Cluster Bomb for added damage.
Auto-Loading Holster and Chain Reaction/Cluster Bomb
Auto-Loading Holster is still a no-brainer on a rocket launcher, so if you get one with this perk it’s worth considering to keep in your storage. As for the fourth column, the same perks mentioned above should still be considered as they are simply the best ones on the list.
This is the only rocket launcher with Hatchling on it and it could contribute to your Strand build, but take note that a single shot will still result in the perk only spawning one Hatchling.
Below is the list of perks for each column with the ideal perks for each column highlighted in bold.
Crowning Duologue Rocket Launcher Perk list
When it comes to the first two columns, you’d want as much blast radius and velocity but you can also consider Impact casing to increase damage output when doing PvE content. For PvP, If you do consider bringing this weapon to The Crucible, there are certain choices in the first two column slots to consider for added projectile speed like High-Velocity Rounds as you usually have one shot to work with.

Also, wondering about the “god rolls” for the seasonal weapons in Season of the Deep? Or the weapons that drop in the new Dungeon The Ghosts of the Deep? We have a list of perk combinations to keep an eye out and is worth creating the craftable versions of those weapons.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
