Elden Ring Gameplay Trailer Revealed At Summer Game Fest, Game Launches Next Year
/From Software and Bandai Namco has finally graced the world with a gameplay trailer of the action RPG Elden Ring during this year’s Summer Game Fest. It showcases the gameplay that greatly resembles a Souls game but with vast open landscapes and massive creatures you’ll need to face.
Elden Ring is one of the most highly anticipated title for the longest time thanks to From Software and Bandai going radio silent after it was revealed during E3 in 2019. The action RPG will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s set to launch worldwide on January 21, 2022.
With it being available in previous consoles, we don’t have a clear picture at the difference between the two versions, but if you do get a PS4 or Xbox One copy next year, you can upgrade to the PS5 and Xbox Series version for free.
In a post by Bandai, the Director at From Software says that “With ELDEN RING, we have applied all our dark fantasy and action-RPG expertise cultivated throughout the Dark Souls series, in order to create a bold, classical evolution of the genre,”
“We've crafted a rich world with a staggering sense of scale, based off of legends written for the game by George R. R. Martin. ELDEN RING is a world full of mystery and peril, ready to be explored and discovered; a drama in which various characters flaunt their own mystique and ulterior motives. We sincerely hope you enjoy experiencing it for yourself.”
As I was watching the gameplay trailer, I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that there are mounts in a game as i’m excited to know how massive each area will be and how much freedom will be given to the player.
