Evil Dead: The Game Will Be Free To Own on the Epic Game Store for a Limited Time
/Saber Interactive announced that their asymmetrical game Evil Dead: The Game will be free to own forever on the Epic Game Store for a limited time from November 17 to November 22, 2022.
Dark Deity, a turn-based strategy RPG that tasks players to “restore a land fractured by broken oaths, reckless wars, and untamed magic”, will also be available for free through the Epic Game Store together with Evil Dead: The Game next week. For now, players can head to the online store to pick up a copy of Alba a Wildlife Adventure, an adventure game where you follow Alba that sets out to save an island and the wildlife that lives in it, and the stealth strategy game Shadow Tactics set in Japan’s Edo period
Evil Dead: The Game is a 4v1 asymmetrical game where four players play characters from the Evil Dead universe and are tasked to banish a demon that is also played by a player. The game features iconic characters as multiple iterations of Ash Williams, characters from the 2013 Evil Dead film, characters from tv series Ash vs Evil Dead, and more.
The free offer aligns perfectly with the game’s next big update as on November 14, Evil Dead: The Game will get its own Prestige system to give players more reason to progress beyond the initial level cap of each character.
Evil Dead: The Game released back in May 2022 with cross-play support between PC (Epic Games Store) and consoles.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
