Hi-Fi Rush’s Arcade Challenge Update Is Now Live for All Players
/Tango Gameworks and Bethesda have just updated their action rhythm game Hi-Fi Rush with the Arcade Challenge update, giving all players that own the game more game modes to be stylish and test your skills with the game’s unique gameplay.
The free update adds two new modes, new enemies, new special attacks, and more unlockables. Here’s a rundown of what the update adds to the game.
Mode 1: Power Up! Tower Up! - A randomized version of the existing Rhythm Tower. In the end, every upgrade or challenge you do affects the score multiplayer. To get an S rank you need to choose the most risky options AND play well!
Mode 2: BPM RUSH - Players experience an escalating brawl where every wave defeated makes the song go faster. There are three difficulties: Easy, Normal and EX!
New Enemies - Hound and Death Metal - acting as mid-boss class enemies in both new modes.
New Special Attacks - CNMANIAC and My Hero!, unlockable as rewards for new mode challenges.
Unlockable Rewards - The Arcade Challenge! Update! includes 40 in-game challenges, and beating them unlocks in-game rewards, including character costume items, photo mode stickers and filters, new special attacks… and a special bonus for completing it all!.

Hi-Fi Rush was the perfect start for 2023 as it was an easy must-buy when I reviewed it back in January. The game was shadow-dropped during Microsoft’s first big games showcase for the year, meaning the game was available on PC, Xbox, and Game Pass the moment it was revealed to the world during the showcase.
Hi-Fi Rush is available on PC and Xbox Game Pass and is also available on Steam.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
