Latest Gameplay Trailer of Dead Island 2 Shows off 15-Minutes of Gory Combat
/Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios revealed a 15-minute gameplay trailer of Dead Island 2 showcasing the game’s many ways to handle the zombie threat while giving us a good look at the game’s FLESH system, designed to elevate the visual damage one can do to any of the zombies found in the game.
The showcase shows an earlier part of the game while the latter parts show a more experienced character, highlighting the variety of zombies you will encounter in their version of Los Angeles, California.
Just watching the trailer alone you can see how much weight this game has. It’s not about speed (at least for the character being played) and weapon types do provide different roles with blades naturally being more effective at slicing up zombies while blunt weapons can be ideal for crowd control if you find yourself facing more than one infected at once.
We even get a look at how wacky the side quests will be as the quest featured tasks the player to clear the area of a rockstar’s house by securing the gates. We even get a short look at how character progression will work in Dead Island 2 as this game will not feature skill trees. Instead, players will have to craft Skill Decks, giving players the choice to swap in and out cards they may need or not need depending on the situation.
As for weapons, they have the DIY weapons you’d expect from a Dead Island game as we saw electrified claws, a customized bat, and even a shotgun that has shock rounds, it seems. We then see the Fury mode (your character is infected but immune), a special that allows you to go on a rampage and tear up zombies with your bare hands for a limited time.
It’s looking rather good despite it being a game that’s been in development hell since it was revealed in 2015.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
