March 2020 Is When Brawlout’s Deluxe Edition Makes Its Way To South East Asia
/Brawlout Deluxe Edition is coming to the PS4 in both digital and physical forms for Southeast Asia thanks to the joint efforts of SCRYsoft and Angry Mob Games. The Deluxe Edition of this platform fighter includes DLC that have been released previously which include skins, cosmetics, character variants, and also some indie game guest characters from the likes of Hyper Light Drifter, Guacamelee!, and Dead Cells to name a few, bringing Brawlout’s roster to more than 18.
The brawl in Brawlout
For those unaware, Brawlout is a fighting game that blends the simplified controls, movement and inputs from platform party fighters and the traditional fighters into one that allows for some slick and stylish combos. The game looks to strike the balance between having a game that's easy to pick up party game while also having enough depth to grow a competitive environment.
If you're worried about getting locked in an infinite combo, the game uses a damage percentage system wherein the higher the percent, the farther you get knocked back. If you do find yourself in a precarious pickle, a Rage Meter is present and will fill up as you both deal and take damage. Once your Rage meter is half-way, you can spend it for a Rage Burst. A Rage Burst can be used as a combo breaker or as a means of stopping your momentum to avoid getting knocked out of the stage. When the Rage meter fills up to its maximum, you enter Rage Mode. This will increase the amount of knockback that your attacks deliver as well as decrease the knockback that you receive when hit.
Brawlout Deluxe Edition features multiple game modes and rule variants such as Timed battles, Stock battles, and even Team battles. The diverse roster caters to many different play-styles as well. Be it rushdown, range, tricky trap setters, and even grapplers. No doubt you'll find a character that you'll connect with in no time.
Character Variants are present in the Deluxe Edition, being alternate versions of other characters with different stats, moves, and outfits. My personal favorite being the four-armed Shark, Mako, who is a variant of Paco, the four-armed frog.
Here is a list of the included DLC present in the Deluxe Edition:
Biker Olaf Exclusive Skin
Exclusive Gear: Snorkel Mask, Inflatable Ducky, Bunny Headphones, Party Glasses
Taunt Emotes Unlocks: GG, Hype, Such Skill
Character Variants Unlocks: Mako, Funkmaster, Gancho Puncho, Sting'ra, Ripjack
Brawlout Deluxe Edition is set for release on the PlayStation 4 on March 26th, 2020.
I finally feel this fantasy journey coming to an end, and despite how much I've played, I’m surprised by how much I want to stay in this world. Another week with Metaphor: ReFantazio will be enough for a final verdict. But from everything I’ve experienced so far, it’s clear Metaphor is leaving a lasting mark.
