Crytek hasn’t fully revealed what to expect from the next event as we got a lengthy event trailer that teased new weapons that are coming to the game through Tide of Desolation.
Between all the carnage, we spotted a Hunter using a Katana to take down another hunter, then, at the 1:53 mark on the trailer, we saw a team of three hunters wielding new weapon variants. Our guess is a new Pax Caldwell variant, and a Dolch variant (Deadeye?). The Hunter focused on the trailer seemed to have picked up a new Drilling variant, one of the latest weapons to be added to the game this year.
Update (12/9/23): In the 1.15 update, it’s confirmed that the Tide of Desolation event will feature new weapon variants tied to the new battle pass. The new weapons and variants are the Caldwell Pax Trueshot, the Katana melee weapon, Dolch Deadeye, Dolch Claw, Drilling Handcannon, Drilling Hatchet, and a Lemat Mark II Carbine Marksman.
As for the event itself, it’s safe to assume we’ll be getting a similar activity where everything we do results in us earning points that allow us to progress through the event’s battle pass. We are likely going to get three Pacts with new sets of perks to change up the meta.
We’ll update this page as more information is shared about the event in the coming days leading up to the event.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
