PlayStation Plus Subscribers Are Getting 3 Free PS4 Games This July
/ Carlos HernandezJuly of 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of PlayStation Plus on the PS3, which was later offered for PS4 players when the console was released. To celebrate a decade of service, Sony is giving Rise of the Tomb Raider, NBA 2k20, and Erica for free to all PS Plus subscribers.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is the second game in the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy and was once a timed-exclusive title for the Xbox One. It eventually arrived on the PS4 packed with additional content during the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Tomb Raider franchise. Rise of the Tomb Raider takes place in snowy Siberia and is more well-versed in these dangerous hunt for lost treasure.
NBA 2K20 is the latest entry in the annual basketball series and remains the best title out there for those looking for the best basketball experience in a video game. Just like previous years, it’s equipped with the latest teams and rosters in the NBA with various game modes to let players relive specific match ups from the past or simply make their own version of teams and rosters.
The bonus game Erica is a good addition as it utilizes Sony’s PlayLink feature, which allows players to control games using their smartphone devices. It’s a narrative-driven adventure game that will pull you in with it’s mysterious world and how it was presented. It’s a game worth trying out if storytelling is an important factor for you.
All three games will be available to download for free on July 7, 2020 and will last until August 3, 2020.
If you haven’t picked up the free PS Plus PS4 games for June, you still have a chance as it will still be offered for free until July 6, 2020.
To further celebrate the PlayStation Plus’ 10 anniversary, Sony is also releasing a free theme on the PS Store later this week plus a free online multiplayer weekend for player not yet subscribed to the service on July 4 and it will last until July 5.
