Sony announced that the entire Yakuza franchise will be available in PlayStation Plus starting this August. The first three games in the series will be available for PlayStation Extra and Premium members next month, the rest will follow in the near future. The latest title, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, will be one of the free games next month for PS Plus Essential members.

First three Yakuza games will enter the service first

For Extra and Premium PS Plus members, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwama, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be available in August. This is the first three games of the series and is a good starter if you’re new to the series as this will definitely keep you busy as the remaining games, Yakuza 4 Remastered, Yakuza 5 Remastered, and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life comes to the service later this year but will only be available for Premium members.

Sony did not state the exact date as to when the first three Yakuza games will be added to the games catalog section, but it will likely be available mid-way through the month, as that’s when the catalogs get updated.
As for the latest game, Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be one of the monthly games available to Essential PS Plus members, which will be available on August 2. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 +2 and Little Nightmares will also be offered next month.
