Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3DS - Jill and Wesker Trailer

It finally happened. The finally learned how to strafe, aim and shoot at the same time. For more than a decade the RE cast ha never walked and aimed at the same time. Now I know that was a design choice but it got annoying after so many games don't you think? Hell, back in the RE5 demo when I was able to strafe w/o having to face left of right was like the greatest thing ever.

Ranting aside, the graphics for this game looks great. Better than what they showed in earlier videos. It even seems to have smoother texturing compared to Wii games and all that in the palm of your hands.

Wesker opts for his Chris Angel powers as opposed to Chris Redfield's Falcon Punches. His campy taunt at 0:29 was hilarious.

The 3DS is in Metro Manila

Datablitz, our version of Gamestop, didn't get the 3DS on March 27th so no day 1 purchases here. But we have news that it has finally arrived.

According to n00breview, the 3DS is priced at P13,500 at Datablitz and P13,990 at gameonegadget. I have yet to visit these shops in person but I'm taking his word for it. Thanks to n00breview for the info.

Some 3BS

No, you haven't misread the title nor is it a typographical error. It is what it says, 3BS. If you don't know the meaning of the abreviation "b.s." then you need to get out more or play some CoD online.

One of the new features of the 3DS is the ability to suspend games and software and allow you to access another program while keeping your current game progress intact. But apparently a number of users are getting an error message instead.

Of course Nintendo being Nintendo, the message displayed is completely unhelpful telling you there is a problem and you need to turn your 3DS off. Don't fret as it does not cause harm to your game data or breaks your 3DS.

It has been reported that these error messages have appeared while playing Asphalt 3D, Super Monkey Ball 3D and Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition.

Here we have another reason to not get a game system at launch. Though I still want a 3DS right now... *drool*

Pokemon Black and White Hits Two Million Sales in the US

Pokemon Black and White almost reached 1 million sales in the Stats just on day 1. Now we're seeing its continued success. I know most people think that the new Pokemon look stupid and I've heard a lot of people complain about how ugly the game looks when the Pokemon are dancing around on screen but number don't lie. Apparantly most people out there like the moving sprites and the fresh new 150 Pokemon.

Nintendo of Amerca posted this info on their twitter page a few days ago and as far as I'm concerned I think they totally deserve it. I haven't had this much fun playing a Pokemon game since Gold.

So the 3DS gets released tomorrow

With just a few hours before our calendars hit the 27th of March. The Nintendo 3DS will be on sale for the open market. If you're from the Philippines you can get the 3DS at any DATABLITZ branch. As for the price, I haven't really asked any of the staff members but since it's going for $250 in the US, expect it to be around 12,000 php.

From what I've seen and heard, the 3DS looks to be an amazing handheld game system, as for the english launch titles I can't say the same. So, will any of you be buying a 3DS on day 1? Did you pre-order one? What will be your first 3DS game? Leave your questions and comments below.
