Torchlight 2 release date confirmed

Runic Games has officially given Torchlight 2 a release date. The point and click action RPG will be out on September 20, 2012, that's roughly three weeks from now!

The announcement was made in Runic Games'  forums informing their community first on the release date.

The post also mentions that the news will be properly announced to the public sometime tomorrow.

Excited for Torchlight 2? With the game priced at only $20, I might just give this game a chance.

You can pre-purchase the game on Steam, pre-purchasing Torchlight 2 will grant you a free copy of the first game.

The Walking Dead Episode 3: Starved For Help release date announced

Telltale just confirmed that the third episode to The Walking Dead game will be released tom, Aug 28 on PSN, XBLA  on Aug 29. With PC? EU PSN and PC dates for Episode 3 wasn't on the announcement. 

PC gamers and players from EU, Bear with them, I'm sure they will include the missing dates and will update this post when it comes.

Starved for Help will cost you $4.99 or 400 MS. If you bought the Season pass for $24.99, episode 3 will be ready to download with the dates above.

Yet another ninja announcement from Telltale but it's a good thing episode 3 is coming out on August as promised. The studio also released a new trailer for episode 3. IGN got first dibs on the new trailer, check it out below(WARNING! MINOR SPOILERS)

Guild Wars 2 - First level 80 character spotted in the wild

According to mmoculture, someone has already hit level 80 in Guild Wars 2. A player named Surfeuze hit the max level by just simply crafting, with the help of his fellow guildmates providing materials for it. Yes, you heard me, a crafter. Surfeuze is a member of the French guild War Legend, so props to him for being the first level 80 character. 

I'll tell you this, it's not easy, especially when your trying to level via crafting. It was clearly a team effort and congrats to them on earning world first.

Getting world first in something isn't really my thing, but it is for some and it's amazing to hear this was done by crafting. I never guessed that would be the fastest way. But I really hope he does himself a favor and creates another character, because he's clearly missing out. It's an amazing game and with the world first now in the bag, he deserves to enjoy the game.

I'm currently level 28(Yes, very addicted) and is slowly taking my time, completing all maps, crafting items, and figure out these interesting mini-dungeons that require you to actually think. I'm hooked.

Mass Effect 3: Leviathan DLC trailer

Bioware released a new trailer for Mass Effect 3's upcoming DLC. This single player add-on has Commander Shepard in search for something called 'Leviathan', who has enough power to destroy reapers.

The free Mass Effect 3 DLC streak has ended. For the 'Leviathan' DLC, you'll need to give up $10/800 MS points to play the extra content. It's due for release on Aug 28 for PSN, Xbox Live, and PC.

Prepare to Die Edition out now in PH

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is now out in the Philippines. Now if you haven't played Dark Souls and have a PC setup that can run this game, you just go right now and get it. Friendly warning though, this game isn't very forgiving. You will die and probably burst a vein while playing it.

But stick to it! This was one of my personal favorites in 2011 and the character customization is surprisingly deep if your into that sort of thing.

Datablitz currently has the game at P1,795, which is ridiculously cheap. It includes a  poster, an artbook, 5 exclusive post cards, DVD of "The Making of Dark Souls", the original soundtrack, and of course the game itself.

The PC version of the game also includes extra bosses and content that were cut out during the game's development. It's pretty much DLC  integrated into the game and PC gamers get first dibs on it. So that's another reason to get this version of the game.

Console gamers, don't rage just yet. We will get the extra content eventually, but it will be released as DLC at the end of the year.
