Rakion Returns: A Nostalgic Comeback for Southeast Asia Players on PC
/PlayPark has officially revived Rakion, an online action RPG that made waves in the Asia region in 2005. Rakion is now available once again in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
If you’ve played the original game then you know exactly what to expect as this is simply a re-release of the same game roughly 19 years ago.
What is Rakion?
Here’s a quick rundown of the game.
Welcome to Rakion
In Rakion, only the strongest survive. Players can choose from five Champions: Blacksmith, Ninja, Mage, Warrior, and Archer. Master these characters’ unique playstyles, overwhelm your enemies, and stand triumphant on the battlefield. The Rakion team has promised more Champions will be unlocked soon!
Rakion invites players to step into a world where skill and strategy determine victory. It’s every person for themselves as players can immediately jump into deathmatch-style PvP matches and hack and slash their way to victory. Team up with up to four other players for 5v5 group play and prepare to face the toughest challengers.
Combining fast-paced gameplay, easy-to-join game modes and skill-based matchmaking, Rakion offers excitement and each time you log in is a unique experience.

Celebrating Rakion in the Philippines
To celebrate the re-launch of Rakion, PlayPark is partnering with PC Express, a local PC store as select branches will reward players with in-game item rewards if they get a selfie with Rakion Mage chilling in the branch and share the photo online.
The Rakion Team and ASUS Republic of Gamers will also be visiting several iCafe locations in the Philippines to host free plays of Rakion.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
