NVIDIA Powers GeForce eSports Xtreme Tournament In Southeast Asia

NVIDIA is gearing up their second GeForce eSports Xtreme Tournament (GEXT). Gamers will have a chance to duke it out the likes of Dota 2, and Counter-Strike:  Global Offensive, with a whopping 255,000php prize pool. The tournament will kick off in the Philippines starting on June 16, 2017, and will then be followed up by tournaments in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

GEXT will take place in GeForce certified netcafes across the country with the finals set to take place in the Cyberzone Activity Center in SM City North EDSA Annex.

The tournament is aiming to grow the gaming community in the region by creating more accessible opportunities for amateur gamers and teams to participate and compete in. The tournament will be streamed  from the qualifying rounds all the way to the grand finals.

The qualifying rounds start on June 16 to July 6, 2017 and will follow a single elimination format. Registration will be on site from 9:00am to 10:00am with a maximum of 32 team per qualifying leg on a first come first serve basis. There will be no registration fee but players will need to pay for the PC rental time which will vary depending on the location. Winners outside of Manila will be flown in by NVIDIA for the finals at SM North EDSA.
