The First Episode Of Life Is Strange: Before The Storm Is Out Now

The prequel to the episodic story-driven game Life is Strange, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, is now out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. One episode is out, two more to go.

The prequel is set three years before the events of the first game and focuses on Chloe Price and befriends Rachel Amber, an important piece in the overall story of Life is Strange.

Since this is set as a prequel, time traveling wasn't a thing yet, so the gameplay is a little different this time around. As Chloe, players have the ability to "Backtalk" to tackle certain situations in the game. It's an added branch of narrative on how to tackle the game, which fits with Chloe's personality. During the dialogue with a certain character, the player can pick up certain words or information during the talk to us at the character. Picking these up will fill up an -on-screen gauge that when filled will allow you to "Backtalk", putting the whole conversation into the player's favor.

Before the Storm is heavily focused on friendship and love, to the point that Square Enix released a video supporting the theme the prequel is built on.

All three episodes of Life is Strange: Before the Storm will cost you $16.99. In Steam, if you live in the Philippines, the whole season will cost you PHP 736.
