Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Shadows Over Bogenhafen DLC Out Next Week
/Developer Fatshark has announced the first major DLC coming to Warhammer: Vermintide 2. It's called Shadows over Bogenhafen and it's planned for an August 28 release.
What's in store for the players of Vermintide 2 in Bogenhafen? Well, based on the teaser below, it might have something to do with fireworks.
According to Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund, “players will be invited to Bogenhafen, a city where the Heroes will be tested like never before by Grandfather Nurgle's unpleasant attentions”. Aside from that and the video teaser above, few details were given by the developers. It's most likely new maps, but to what extent? Fatshark plans to reveal more about Shadows over Bogenhafen as we get closer to release.
This isn't the first new piece of content coming to Warhammer: Vermintide 2. Last May the game received a free update in the form of a major content patch, adding over a hundred new cosmetics (hats, skins, etc), bug fixes, daily challenges, quests, and the Modded Realm; a version of the game that includes mod support through Steam Workshop.
No pricing information was given for Shadows over Bogenhafen, but hopefully we'll learn more in the days leading up to release so we can plan our DLC budget accordingly.
I think Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is one of the best 4-player co-op games available today. To learn more, you can check out my full review. I wrote that "[Vermintide 2] is a solid sequel. Fatshark didn't stray away from what made the first game successful [and] improved on what they already had."
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
