Alan Wake Is Coming to Dead by Daylight, Now Available Through Test Servers
/Behaviour Interactive announced that they are bringing Remedy Entertainment’s very own Alan Wake to their 4v1 online horror game Dead by Daylight as a playable Survivor. The famed writer will enter the fog sometime in January if testing goes well.
Alan Wake perks as a Survivor
It’s a fitting addition to the ongoing online horror game that involves fog and the use of a flashlight as a weapon. With Alan Wake coming in as a Survivor, he brings in three new perks to add even more build variety to the Survivor side.
Champion of Light - While you are holding a flashlight, this Perk activates. When you are shining a flashlight, you have 50% Haste. When you successfully blind the Killer, they also gain 20% Hindered for 6 seconds. This effect cannot stack with itself. Then, this Perk goes on cool-down for 80/70/60 seconds.
Boon: Illumination - Survivors inside your Boon Totem’s range see the aura of all Chests and all Generators in blue. If you have a lit Boon Totem, you cleanse or bless Totems 6/8/10% faster. You can only bless one Totem at a time. All equipped Boon Perks are active on your Boon Totem.
Deadline - This Perk activates when you are injured. Skill Checks appear 6/8/10% more frequently when repairing or healing and appear in random places. The penalty for missing Skill Checks is reduced by 50%.
Alan Wake and his perks are now available in the game’s Public Test Build, which is now live for every player to try and test for free. This build also comes with different gameplay changes such as the overhaul of the Killer the Hillbilly, another change in The Onryo Kiler (The Ring), and perk changes like Hex: Ruin getting buffed.
Public Test builds usually lats for a couple of weeks before they released the build, so expect Alan Wake to be officially out sometime this January.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
