Back 4 Blood Open Beta Launches Next Month, Here's All You Need To Know

Back 4 Blood is a 4-player co-op first-person shooter from the creators of the Left 4 Dead franchise and they’re having an open beta session in August, giving players a chance to check out the game before it officially launches on October 12. It’s meaty beta as there are tons of content to try out, so here’s a quick rundown on what to expect.
When can I start playing the Back 4 Blood Open Beta?
The open beta will be available to players that have pre-ordered the game first. The early access to the beta will start from August 5 to August 9. The beta will be open to all players on August 12 to August 16 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One , and PC. Cross-gen and cross-play will be available during the beta.

The time the Open Beta goes live varies depending on your region. For those in the Philippines, since we share the same time zone as Hong Kong, the beta is expected to go live on August 13 at 3 AM GMT +8.
What will be available in the Back 4 Blood Open Beta?
The open beta will feature 2 PvE campaign maps, 2 PvP maps for Swarm Mode, 5 playable characters which are called Cleaners, and 6 playable Ridden, special monsters with unique abilities. All weapons will be available during the beta and you can explore the Fort Hope Communal Hub.
Back 4 Blood will feature an interesting card system where the game will randomly play a series of corruption cards to affect what players will experience in the game they are about to play. Cleaners can then play their own set of cards that will give them specific buffs and perks that they think will help them in that specific run.
It’s an interesting addition and hopefully we see how effective this system will be during the open beta.
Back 4 Blood will launch on October 12, 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
