Band of Crusaders Announced by Newly Formed Indie Studio From Warsaw
/Virtual Alchemy, A new indie studio based in Warsaw Poland, announced its debut title called Band of Crusaders, a Witcher-esque strategy RPG that’s set in a corrupted version of medieval Europe where you recruit warriors, develop your camp, and fight the demons that roam the land.
Band of Crusaders is a mix of party management and RPG strategy as the player manages a group of warriors that grow into facing various threats from bandits to archdemons that are freely out in the land set in 1350 A.D. medieval Europe.
“Band of Crusaders is about a company of warriors you will raise from peasants to heroes against the forces of chaos. The Knights Templar are gone, and Archdemons are at the door, threatening the already fragile peace that European smallfolk have come to cherish,” says studio CEO Dominik Sypnicki.
“Our artistic approach to Band of Crusaders merges historically authentic representations of medieval tools, armor, and weaponry, with demonic creatures inspired by biblical descriptions and European folklore,” shares Art Director Kamil Mickiewicz. “We wanted to see what the world of The Witcher would look like if you removed all the Witchers.”
Band of Crusaders is coming out on PC as its Steam page is now live. No release date was announced.
This will be music to the ears of kids who grew up on the series, but for the uninitiated, there’s nothing quite like the Mario & Luigi games. Mario & Luigi Brothership does its best to appeal to a wide range of players with charming presentation and a strong new Battle Plug system, but not everyone will be enamored with its reflex-testing gameplay.
