Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Preorder Details Revealed

Activision is slowly ramping up in promoting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as they’ve shared preorder details for the upcoming shooter that has a variety of different editions to choose from that includes different benefits and goodies.

Preorders of the digital copy will have instant access to the open beta while preorders for the physical copy will require a beta code to get early access.

It’s quite a lot, so here’s a quick rundown of the different editions and what to expect from each one.

Modern Warfare 3 - Vault Edition ($99.99)

The Vault edition is considered the premier offering for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. It comes with:

• Campaign Early Access (Preorder Benefit)

• Open Beta Early Access (Preorder Benefit)

• Soap Operator Pack (Preorder Benefit)

• Nemesis Operator Pack

• Two Weapon Vaults

• BlackCell (season 1) - includes battle pass, BlackCell Sector that includes 1,100 CP currency, 50 battle token tier skips, and more

The Nemesis Pack will include four famed Multiplayer operators that will be available on day 1. If you’ve preordered this edition of the game, you can use these skins during the Modern Warfare 3 beta.

On the other hand, The Sopa Operator Pack will include access to the “Masked Soap” and “Unmasked Soap” skins, and the “Shadow Siege” Weapon Blueprint. This pack will be immediately available in Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone, and of course Modern Warfare 3 when it launches.

As for the two Weapon Vaults, they will also be available during the open beta if you’ve preordered this edition. Here is how it was described by Activision:

“Each FATE Weapon Vault is a variant of a Modern Warfare III weapon that keeps its cosmetic properties on all associated attachments native to its base platform. This allows for instant customization, with every related attachment ready for immediate use in either a red and black (the signature colors of the Konni Group) or a blue and silver graphical design (the current colors of Task Force 141), depending on the Vault you’re using. “

Modern Warfare 3 - Standard Console Cross-Gen and PC Digital Editions ($69.99)

This edition will come with these bonuses if you preorder the game.

• Campaign Early Access (Preorder Benefit)

• Open Beta Early Access (Preorder Benefit)

• Soap Operator Pack (Preorder Benefit)

Essentially, the real bonus of this edition is the preorder benefits as without it this is just your standard digital edition copy of the game with access to both the previous and current generation of the game. In the future, if players want the bonuses from the Vault edition, they can opt to upgrade their copy of the game for $30.

Modern Warfare 3 - Physical Console Editions, Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.) Edition

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will have physical editions available at your preferred retail store but there will also be a Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.) edition. This edition will come with a Call of Duty Endowment Direct Action Pack, which comes with an animated emblem, sticker, and calling card. This is exclusive and will be limited to select retailers in different regions.

But I want the open beta access and a week early to play the campaign

Both the open beta early access and access to the campaign a week early are simply preorder bonuses no matter what edition you choose to buy in the end. The open beta will be free to all players when it becomes available, you’ll just be one of the first to try out the game.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is set to release on November 10, 2023, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
