Everything You Need to Know About The Division 2’s Battle for Brooklyn DLC
/Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have revealed full details for Battle for Brooklyn, the next major DLC for The Division 2. It’s the game’s first major expansion since Warlords of New York launched back in 2020, and it looks to be packed with new content for those eager to grind for the new items that would alter their loadouts.
What’s in The Division 2 Battle for Brooklyn DLC?
Battle for Brooklyn brings players back to the original setting of the first game — Brooklyn — where a new threat tied to the faction known as The Cleaners emerges.
New Story and World Content
The entire DLC is set against an autumn backdrop and is expected to offer 8–10 hours of new story content. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s included in the new map:
4 Control Points
12 Living World activities
10 Bounty locations
8 Hunter riddles
A new collectible
A new bounty set
New enemy variants are also part of the update. The Cleaners, known for their fire-based loadouts, now wield a dangerous purple flame that not only causes burn damage but also applies a corrosion-like debuff — reducing your character’s armor the longer the flame is active.
New Skill — Smart Cover
Players who own the DLC will unlock a new skill called Smart Cover, a launcher that fires a projectile into any surface, reinforcing it and applying buffs to all players using that cover.
There are two variants:
Precision Smart Cover – Grants bonuses to weapon handling, damage, and reload speed.
Fortified Smart Cover – Provides buffs to armor, resistance, and immunity to stagger effects.
New Exotic Gear — The Catalyst
Also included is a new exotic headgear called The Catalyst. It offers a stacking damage and status effect bonus when you deal or receive a status effect. At max stacks, you’ll get a temporary boost to total armor and reload speed — a solid pick for aggressive or hybrid builds.
When Does the Battle for Brooklyn DLC Release?
It’s set to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 27, 2025 for $14.99.
Players can buy it as a standalone DLC or get it through the Gold Edition, which includes both Battle for Brooklyn and Warlords of New York. The Ultimate Edition includes the new DLC, the Year 1 Pass, extra cosmetics, and bonus in-game credits.
Purchasing the DLC also grants players a Level 40 Boost, allowing new players to jump straight into the content without needing to grind up first — just as long as they have a max-level character. You’ll also get 50 additional stash slots as a bonus.
Owning the DLC also grants you 50 additional stash space.
The Division 2 is currently in its sixth year of content, with Year 6 Season 3: Burden of Truth now live. This season features a new Manhunt, reworked seasonal modifiers, updated priority objectives, season pass experience adjustments, and more.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows greatly blends the classic Assassin’s Creed stealth with the RPG elements of recent entries. Its dynamic world, seasonal changes, and improved stealth mechanics make exploration a joy, but Yasuke’s restrictive gameplay, overall story, and a half-baked notoriety system hold it back.
