During the closed beta, Cell will be the only playable Raider.
For those unfamiliar, Dragon Ball: the Breakers is taking a completely different approach with the Dragon Ball franchise as this game is a 7v1 asymmetrical game where seven players play as normal human beings trying to survive the attack of a Raider controlled by another player. These Raiders are usually the god-like villains known in the Dragon Ball world complete with their immense strength where only Goku and friends can match.
Sadly, Goku and the rest are not around but there are a few tricks you can do as a bunch of nobodies as your goal is to simply escape the battlefield with the use of a Super Time Machine. On the other hand, the player playing as the Raider simply has to take down all seven survivors.
Dragon Ball: the Breakers is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam sometime in 2022. The game will also be available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S through backwards compatibility.
