Dead By Daylight's Upcoming Tomb Focuses On Left 4 Dead's Bill Overbeck
/ Carlos HernandezOn May 5, Tome VII: Forsaken will be released in Dead by Daylight, which means players will not only get a series of new challenges to clear but more lore to certain characters. And this time it’s focused on Left 4 Dead’s Bill Overbeck.
This is not only a treat for those enjoying the added lore that comes with these Tomes but to the Left 4 Dead fans eager to know more about the Vietnam War veteran that has faced a zombie apocalypse before being brought in as a survivor in Dead by Daylight.
Behaviour Interactive started the Tome series back in 2019 and is their way of expanding Dead by Daylight’s overall lore by providing a series of audio logs and text that focused on a particular survivor and killer. You unlock these pieces of lore by doing simple challenges in the game. Some can be as easy as fixing 5 generators to a more specific challenge such as using a perk in a game.
In Tome VII called Forsaken, we get to know more about Bill Overbeck through a series of memories like animated shorts, and it looks like it gives us more context about his live during the Vietnam War. We are also getting more backstory on the vomit spitting Plague, who is an ancient priestess of Babylon that I still put her as the most difficulty killer to face, especially if you solo queue as a survivor.
Tome VII will launch right after The Realm Beyond Part 5, an update that reworks the Coldwind Farm map, balance changes to specific perks and killers, as well as give the The Doctor killer a more updated character model. This update will go live on May 4.
