The Best Games To Pick Up During Steam's Golden Week Sale
/ Carlos HernandezSteam is currently hosting a Golden Week Sale, which puts various titles made in Japan on sale from April 29 to May 6. We looked through what’s on sale and we noticed a few good steals if you’re looking for the next game to pick up on PC this week.
It’s a long list so we’ve went through the sale and made a list of recommended titles you just might enjoy at a very reasonable price. NieR: Automata takes the top spot in our recommended list as some are likely on a NieR high with the recent release of NieR: Replicant, as Automata is a sequel of sorts that takes place years into the future.
Also on the list is Octopath Traveler, a solid JRPG that seemed to be allergic to sales as it’s still rare to see the title go down as low as 50%. If you’re looking for a more familiar RPG with nostalgia, the Trails of Mana remake, which hit Steam last year, is already getting a large price cut. You can also go for something out of the box with Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding that is more than half off at the moment.
Take note that prices are in Philippine Pesos and will change depending on the region you are in.

While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
