Destiny 2: Lightfall Guide - Best Way to Farm Strand Meditation
/Have you finished the Destiny 2: Lightfall campaign and are eager to have all the fragments for the new Strand subclass? Well, you’ll need Strand Meditations to unlock each one as well as the other grenade options. Here’s a quick guide on the fastest way to farm them.
For those new to the expansion, the new Strand subclass will only be unlocked once you finish the Lightfall campaign, so earning its fragments will be done after the campaign. When you’ve finally unlocked the subclass, you’ll be given 500 Strand Meditations to start with when you visit the Pouka Pond (Where you unlock Strand Fragments and grenade types) for the first time. It can be found in the Hall of Heroes, opposite Osiris.
For the new Strand subclass, there are 14 fragments (*Bungie patched the game and unlocked all of them to obtain) to unlock, and two types of grenades to unlock. You’ll need 200 Strand Meditations to unlock one fragment, while for grenade types you only need 50. All in all, you need 2,900 Strand Meditations to unlock everything Strand has to offer right now in one class.
Take note that this is only for one character. You’ll need to farm the same amount of Strand Meditations once your other character unlocks Strand and can start unlocking fragments and grenade types.
Best Destiny 2: Lightfall Strand Meditation farm spot
The best way to farm Strand Meditations right now is in Neptune doing the Terminal Overload public events in the area while playing the Strand subclass.
The best thing about this method is you can maximize your time by picking up public events within the public event as completing them also earns you Strand Meditations. I suggest picking up the ones that require you to kill certain enemies or gather resources from enemies so you’ll be able to finish it while doing the public event.
Killing enemies with the Strand subclass can also earn you the resource as a kill will result in dropping one Strand Meditations, two if they are yellow bar enemies. On top of all this, when you complete the Terminal Overload public event (which has three phases), you’ll earn as high as 100 Strand Meditations when opening both chests at the end of the event.
Once you’ve looted all you can, rinse and repeat! Head to the map and launch a new Terminal Overload public event.
The new public event in Neptune is by far the best place as in a few hours you’ll have enough to unlock multiple fragments the next time you head back to the Hall of Heroes.
You don’t have to wait for these public events to show up too. Just enter your map and look for the ‘Terminal Overload’ public event. Click it and launch and you’ll be thrown to one currently ongoing, hopefully with people also doing the same activity as it can be tough doing it alone.
And it’s as simple as that. It’s still a grind, but nothing like what we had to do in order to fully unlock the Statis subclass in the Beyond Light expansion.
This will be music to the ears of kids who grew up on the series, but for the uninitiated, there’s nothing quite like the Mario & Luigi games. Mario & Luigi Brothership does its best to appeal to a wide range of players with charming presentation and a strong new Battle Plug system, but not everyone will be enamored with its reflex-testing gameplay.
