Belial Returns in Diablo IV Season 8 — Here’s Everything You Need to Know
/Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled Season 8: Belial’s Return for Diablo IV, launching on April 29, 2025, at 10 a.m. PDT. This season reintroduces Belial, the Lord of Lies, bringing a host of new content, challenges, and quality-of-life updates such as being able to teleport to a party member.
Deception and New Allies
Just like each season of Diablo IV, we are given a new questline with a narrative unique to the season. For season 8, Belial's return has unleashed mysterious Apparition Monsters across Sanctuary. Players will join forces with new characters, including Sayeena, a retired Vizjerei mage, and Jarius, a self-proclaimed knight of the Cathedral of Light. Together, they aim to uncover Belial's true intentions and eliminate the emerging threats.
Boss Powers: Harness the Might of Foes
A standout feature this season is the introduction of Boss Powers. By defeating specific World, Event, and Lair Bosses, players can acquire these powers, each offering a Main and a Modifier effect. Players can equip one Main and up to three Modifier Powers simultaneously, allowing for diverse build customization.
For instance, defeating the World Boss Ashava grants:
Main: Hitting an enemy affected by Damage over Time spawns a wave of acid that deals 1,200% Poisoning damage over 4 seconds. Applies 10% more Poisoning for each 1% of the target's current Life affected by Damage over Time.
Modifier: Once per activation, damaging an enemy with your Main Boss Power also applies 45% Poisoning damage to it over 3 seconds.
There are 24 Boss Powers to collect, each offering unique enhancements to your character's abilities.
Apparition Incursion Event
The new Apparition Incursion event introduces formidable foes that challenge players' skills and strategies. These events are integral to the season's narrative and provide opportunities to acquire exclusive Boss Powers.
Seasonal Rewards and Progression
Season 8 brings a revamped Season Journey, guiding players through objectives that yield valuable rewards. The Reliquaries Battle Pass offers additional incentives, including cosmetic items and in-game resources. Players can also obtain Fabled Threads from Tejal’s Shop, allowing for further character customization.
Blizzard states that this season was polished based on the feedback from the 2.2.0 Public Test Realm (PTR) into the final release of Season 8. Adjustments have been made to balance Boss Powers and refine event mechanics, ensuring a polished experience for all players. Diablo x Berserk
Diablo IV’s doing their first collaboration with Berserk, a classic anime/manga series that pretty much shaped the Shonen space to what it is today. With this collaboration, players can don iconic looks from Berserk, specifically Guts’ greatsword look. The collaboration will be live on may 7 until the end of Season 8

Assassin’s Creed Shadows greatly blends the classic Assassin’s Creed stealth with the RPG elements of recent entries. Its dynamic world, seasonal changes, and improved stealth mechanics make exploration a joy, but Yasuke’s restrictive gameplay, overall story, and a half-baked notoriety system hold it back.
