Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes To Be Distributed by Justdan International in Southeast Asia
/The upcoming JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which is set to launch on April 23, 2024, will be distributed by a Taiwan-based company called Justdan International Co., Ltd. as they’ve secured distribution rights from 505 Games. Simply put, Justdan will be responsible for bringing the game to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Korea, and Southeast Asia regions for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
For those unfamiliar with the project, here’s a quick description of the game:
The game story is set in a continent where multiple culturally diverse kingdoms coexist and wars are frequent. Here, there exists magical artifacts called “Rune Lenses”, and the history of the continent is marked by alliances and conflicts among humans, orcs, elves, and desert dwellers. Players will follow three protagonists with diverse backgrounds: ”Nova”, born from the alliance of various kingdoms, “Sein”, a soldier from the empire, and “Marisa”, a member of the guardian organization. Together, they embark on adventures in this fantasy world.
This is a highly anticipated title for fans of the Suikoden series as the game is being developed by Rabbit & Bear Studios, a company that consists of core members that created the Suikoden series, and was also helmed by Yoshitaka Murayama, who sadly passed away on February 6, 2024.
Development of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, first kicked off with a successful Kickstarter campaign, earning $4.5 million at the end of the run, with it only initially setting a goal of just $500,000 to support development.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, was an action RPG released on May 10, 2022, that is also set in the same world as Hundred Heroes with some characters making an appearance in the game.
Just like Suikoden, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will feature over a hundred playable characters.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will also be available through PC Game Pass on day one.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
