Latest Diablo IV 2025 Roadmap Updated for April

Blizzard has released a new 2025 roadmap for their action RPG Diablo IV, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from April 2025 and beyond.

Diablo IV 2025 Roadmap Breakdown

Here’s a summary of what’s coming in 2025:

Belial’s Return

Belial, the Lord of Lies, has returned to warp reality to his will. Daring wanderers can now clash with Belial and two bosses from Vessel of Hatred as part of the updated Lair Boss system.

Sins of the Horadrim

We return to Nightmare Dungeons with new activities and interactions that let you ramp up dungeon intensity while hunting down the barons of Hell.

Infernal Chaos – Infernal Horde Updates

The Infernal Horde is becoming more chaotic, putting new choices in your hands. Expect advanced options between Infernal Waves to arrive as well.

Quality of Life Updates

Beyond seasonal updates, Diablo IV is also getting some permanent quality-of-life improvements.

One of the most requested features—keyboard and mouse support for consoles—is finally on the way, giving players more control over how they experience Sanctuary.

Core system updates are also coming to the Battle Pass and Seasonal Journey, making them more rewarding and meaningful over time.

Looking Ahead to the Second Expansion

All of this is leading to the eventual release of Diablo IV's second expansion, currently scheduled for 2026. With BlizzCon returning in September 2026, it’s likely Blizzard will use the event to reveal more details about the expansion.

The first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, launched in October 2024. If Blizzard sticks to a similar release timeline, BlizzCon could serve as the perfect platform for a major marketing push—possibly hinting at a Q3 or Q4 2026 launch.

Reception to Vessel of Hatred was mixed—many players felt the story was half-baked compared to the base game, with unresolved plot points and more questions than answers.

How’s Diablo IV Doing Now?

In terms of endgame content, Diablo IV is in a better place compared to its first few months. While the community still has its gripes, recent updates have been significant, with various overhauls and quality-of-life improvements that make the game a solid pick for fans wanting to scratch that action RPG looter itch.

The game is currently in its seventh season, Season of Witchcraft, which introduced new systems that change how players can build and play their characters.

Season 7 ends on April 15.
