Exoprimal Is Getting a Second Open Beta Test This June
/Capcom announced that their upcoming title Exoprimal will have a second open beta test on June 16 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Servers go live at 12 AM UTC and will last until June 18 at 11:59 PM UTC.
The second open test has more content to play around with as players can try out the game’s opening moments of the story mode, some story missions, and 10-player co-op missions. This is on top of the content that was available during the last beta test, so players can again try the game’s main game mode Dino Survival.
Players that join the second open beta test and answer a survey (likely to provide feedback on the game) will receive a download code for the Zephyr Exosuit Flash cosmetic skin.
New game modes available at launch
Capcom also announced new features for when the game officially launches in July. One is the inclusion of a game mode that allows players to compete for the fastest mission clear time through PvE content. A game mode called Savage Gauntlet, a 5-man competitive co-op game where you compete against other 5-man teams for the fastest clear times. Savage Gauntlet is considered one of Exoprimal’s endgame activities and the rules of this game mode changes each week.
Post-launch content detailed
Capcom also plans to support Exoprimal after launch with a series of free title updates that will contain new content in the form of new variant suits, new missions, and new fields. The first major update is expected to launch a month after launch and will include 10 variant suits
Title Update 1 is scheduled to be released around a month after launch and will include 10 variant suits. Soon after the first major update goes live, future updates will be implemented each season which lasts approximately three months apart.
During the Summer Game Fest showcase, Capcom also revealed a Street Fighter 6 and Exoprimal collaboration as the new dino-packed game will soon get mechanical exosuits in the shape of Ryu and Guile.
Exoprimal is set to launch on July 14 and will also be available through Xbox and PC Game Pass.
This will be music to the ears of kids who grew up on the series, but for the uninitiated, there’s nothing quite like the Mario & Luigi games. Mario & Luigi Brothership does its best to appeal to a wide range of players with charming presentation and a strong new Battle Plug system, but not everyone will be enamored with its reflex-testing gameplay.
