Genshin Impact Version 5.2 To Add New Aerial Abilities and More on November 20
/Genshin Impact’s next major update, Version 5.2 titled “Tapestry of Spirit and Flame”, goes live on November 20 and will add new playable characters, two new tribes, the continuation of the Archon questline, and more.
Genshin Impact Version 5.2
New 5-Star Character - Chasca
The new 5-star character is Chasca, an Anemo bow wielder from the Flower-feather clan that dishes out multi-elemental gunshots.
When entering Nightsoul’s Blessing, Chasca’s normal attacks to deal Anemo damage, while her charged attacks fires up to six Shadowhunt Shells. If you pair her with Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro characters, one Shadowhunt shell will transform from its oroginal Anemo damage to the corresponding type of elemental damage.
For her Elemental Burst, Chasca fires a bullet that initially deals Nightsoul-aligned Anemo damage, which then splits into six bullets to attack nearby enemies. For each Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro character in the party, two of these bullets will have an Elemental conversion and deal corresponding type of elemental damage.
As for exploration, she can travel long distances by mounting her unique gun called the "Soulsniper". By entering Nightsoul's Blessing, Chasca rides on her Soulsniper, and can take action freely in mid-sky, including dashing forward, uplifting, air diving, or even attacking enemies from above.
New 4-Star Character - Ororon
The new 4-star character is Ororon, an Electro Bow wield from the masters of the Night-Wind. This character is rather unique as he comes with a new Nightsoul mechanism that will interact well with Electro and Hydro characters.
Ororon will get to earn Nightsoul Points in two situations: when one of his party members triggers a Nightsoul Burst, or when other party members deal Hydro or Electro damage to enemies after Ororon unleashes his Elemental Skill. Ororon can then enter Nightsoul's Blessing and deal Electro damage when enemies take damage from Electro-Charged reactions, or when other party members deal Nightsoul-aligned damage.
As for his Elemental Burst, Ororon can summon the Supersonic Oculus, which will taunt nearby enemies.
New Saurians
Version 5.2 will allow players to transform into two of the new Saurians.
Qucusaurs
Qucusaurs excel at long-distance, horizontal flights. They can also consume phlogiston to climb higher or perform a horizontal roll in mid-air.
Holding the sprint button allows them to enter an accelerated glide state.
Iktomisaur
Iktomisaurs can consume Phlogiston to leap vertically higher, giving them unique aerial agility.
With their special Elemental Sight, Iktomisaurs can detect hidden objects and secrets that are otherwise invisible.
Holding to aim lets them enter the Spiritspeaker state. In this state, they can absorb Phlogiston from objects and create temporary graffiti or mystical objects known as Phlogiston Engravings
Version 5.2 will also feature more content when it goes live in a couple of weeks, including:
New tribes: the Flower-Feather Clan and the Masters of the Night-Wind, as well as the ancient city ruins of Ochkanatlan.
Continuation of the Archon Quest: Chapter V: Interlude will have players help the Flower-Feather Clan recover from Abyssal contamination, with support from Iansan and the Captain.
New seasonal event: An event featuring Citlali and Ororon, with the 4-star sword Calamity of Eshu as a reward.
New Boss: Tenebrous Papilla, who can transform into different enemies, awaiting challengers in the new areas.
New area: Players will get to explore Ochkanatlan, an ancient city of Natlan corrupted by the Abyss, which is now no longer home to a living soul. Travelers can transform into Iktomisaurs and Qucusaurs, performing their unique abilities to uncover the city's deepest secrets.
New tribes: the Flower-Feather Clan and the Masters of the Night-Wind
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
