No Man's Sky Updated with Cross-Save, PS5 Support, and the Return of the Mass Effect Collaboration
/Hello Games continues to update their space simulator No Man’s Sky as the game now has Cross-Save support that gives players the ability to have one save that can be used between various platforms such as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2, and PCVR.
No Man’s Sky Now with Cross-Save Support
It’s a massive undertaking for the developers as they had to cater to a variety of different players from the casual to the most committed who spent years playing the game. They even took into account those that have been gone for years, making sure that if they do return, their game remains intact, ready to be imported to other platforms if they so wish.
They’ve given a detailed FAQ for those who have more questions about cross-save. With it being a massive addition, cross-save will slowly roll out to the community as a small number of players will get access to the cross-save feature. In the coming weeks, the feature will be given to all players.
You can attempt to connect your saves through different platforms through this link here.
No Man’s Sky - PlayStation 5 Pro Support
No Man’s Sky is one of the 50 games that have PS5 Pro enhanced support. Those who would play No Man’s Sky on the PS5 Pro can take advantage of sharper resolution at higher framerates. Players with the PS5 Pro can expect “improved lighting, ultra quality reflections, and higher quality ambient occlusion.”. If you’re able, the game features 4K resolution at 60 fps and 8k resolution at 30 fps with the new console.
Mass Effect Collaboration - The Normandy Returns!
Back in 2021, Hello Games collaborated with EA and Bioware to deliver a unique experience where the SSV Normandy SR1 — the iconic ship of Commander Shepard in the Mass Effect trilogy — makes an appearance in one of No Man’s Sky’s first Expeditions.
They are simply bringing the experience back for a limited time as an overhauled version of the mission that triggers the Normandy’s appearance in the game will be around for the next two weeks.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
