Lies of P 2 Confirmed, DLC for First Game Also Announced
/It looks like the Souls-like action RPG featuring a twisted version of Pinocchio is doing so well that the director of the game has confirmed that a sequel is coming and that DLC for the first game is happening.
In the video, the game’s director Ji Won Choi said that “Our highest priority is developing the DLC and working on our sequel”. Choi teased the upcoming DLC with some concept art but didn’t exactly specify what exactly it will contain just yet. The sequel is also a mystery, but if you’ve finished Lies of P, you probably have a hint of what they can do in the second game.
The Director’s Letter video isn’t all about the sequel and DLC as Choi also discussed the upcoming patch planned to launch later this month. The patch is said to make some tweaks to the Weapon Assemble system as well as make the opening stages of the game more approachable for other players by giving boosted base stats or providing extra Quartz materials to allow players to upgrade earlier. He also mentions that the Rising Dodge move will be available at the start. He also mentioned that due to feedback, the patch will also allow players to wear glasses and hats separately, giving you more ways to mix and match.
Lies of P is doing well as it sold over one million copies since it went on sale last September, with a commendable Opencritic score of 82.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
