Eternity Range: After turn 3, add a Rock to the losing player’s side
Plunder Castle: Only cards that cost 6 can be played here.
Collapsed Mine: Fill this location with Rocks. Skip a turn to destroy your Rocks.
Rickety Bridge: After each turn, if there is more than one card here, destroy them.
Altar of Death: When you play a card here, destroy it to get +2 Energy next turn.
New Series 5 cards
This month, new cards will be slowly added to the Series 5 pool of cards, meaning you can earn them through the Token Shop or opening Collector’s Reserves once they go live.
These cards will be added to Series 5 one by one, starting with Silver Surfer, last month’s featured card in December.
Sauron (January 10): On Reveal: Remove the abilities from all Ongoing cards in your hand and deck.
Shanna (January 17): On Reveal: Add a random 1-Cost card to each location.
Dazzler (January 24): Ongoing: If you have 4 cards at each location, +6 Power.
Shadow King (January 31): On Reveal: Set all cards here to their original base Power.
New Variants
The game was also updated with new variants for various cards such as She-Hulk, Enchantress, Shuri, and more. There are also new Variant bundles with one containing Variants for Sabertooth, White Tiger, Kraven, and a Dino Sized Bundle containing a Variant for Devil Dinosaur. Each of the bundles are limited offers and will also contain card boosters to upgrade them as well as in-game Credits.
Battle Mode game mode detailed
Battle Mode was also detailed this month, giving a short explanation on how a 1v1 custom battle will work in Marvel Snap.
This game mode will feature two players pairing up by inputting the appropriate code to match together and do battle. Once paired, the two players will start a match with a life total of 10 and playing multiple games of Snap with the deck they choose. The amount of life a player loses during a match depends on the amount of cubes that was waged in the match. So, if no one snaps the cube and it ends with just 2 cubes, the player that lost will simply lose 2 from their total life.
The player that loses all 10 lives first losses the match.
There’s currently no release date as to when we can expect Battle Mode to be available in the game.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
