/ Carlos HernandezCapcom released a new trailer for Ghost ‘N Goblins Resurrection and it features not only the many difficulties that will be available in the game but the many weapons Arthur will get to wield and a new game+ mode that alters each stage, making it a more challenging playthrough.
Resurrection is the latest game in the Ghosts ‘n Goblins series that brings back Sir Arthur to his side-scrolling antics and from what’s shown on the latest trailer below, it’s likely going to satisfy fans of the 1985 classic.
Everybody knows how difficult the classic Ghost ‘n Goblins game was back in the day and I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept it as challenging. But they are making sure it’s accessible regardless as the game features 4 difficulty levels: Legend, Knight, Squire, and Page. What are the differences of each difficulty? We got a glimpse of it in the trailer but luckily Capcom provided through Capcom Unity, giving us an idea on the changes to each one.
Here’s a quick breakdown.
Legend mode: more enemies on-screen and your armor can only take one hit.
Knight mode: your armor can take two hits.
Squire mode: your armor can take two hits and there are less enemies on the screen.
Page mode: after dying, players can revive on the spot.
Finishing Resurrection in your first playthrough won’t be the end as the new game will feature a New Game+ of sorts as finishing the game for the first time will unlock shadow stages, levels that have a darker aethetic with different enemy types and other elements to ramp up the difficulty even more.
Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection will be out on February 25 on the Nintendo Switch and It will costs $29.99. Pre-orders are now available and players that do pre-order will get to download the game before launch, giving you the chance to prepare early and play once the game goes live on the Nintendo eShop.
