Next-gen version of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Set for a January 2023 release

Bandai Namco announced that the next-gen version of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be released on January 13, 2022 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. 

This next-gen version of the game will feature Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot running on 60 frames per second with visual improvements which was seen in the trailer below. Those who own the PS4 or Xbox One copy of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot can get the next-gen upgrade for free. 

The next-gen version of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will have three editions to choose from. 

  • Standard Edition – This includes the base Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot game.

  • Deluxe Edition (digital-only; not available for pre-order) – This includes the base Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot game, a Deluxe Cooking item, and Season Pass 1 (two original story episodes and one new story arc).

  • Legendary Edition (digital-only; not available for pre-order) – This includes the base Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot game, a Deluxe Cooking item, a Legendary Cooking item, Season Pass 1, and Season Pass 2 (three new story arcs, including the upcoming downloadable content “Bardock – Alone Against Fate“).

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC through Steam.
