Secure The Last Living Plant In Rainbow Six: Siege's Limited Apocalypse Event
/ Carlos HernandezRainbow Six: Siege players will get a treat starting May 4 as the new limited event titled ‘Apocalypse’ will go live and comes with a new game mode, plus new cosmetics you can earn for select operators.
The new game mode called Canister is an altered version of the Bomb game mode. It revolves around a canister that contains the last remaining plant on Earth. Keepers (Defenders) will need to defend the canister from being defused by the Warband (attackers) until the time runs out. Or you can simple kill the opposition for a quick round win.
It’s pretty much Bomb but with a slight change. Keepers aren’t forced into one location in the map. They can transport the canister to other parts of the map at anytime to keep the Warband team guessing. Attacks have an answer to a moving objective as they can activate specific scanner rooms to detect the Keeper’s location.
Why are two groups fighting for the last plant on Earth? Here’s Ubisoft’s description of the limited event:
”In the world of Apocalypse, humanity’s dependence on nuclear energy ultimately led to the fall of civilization and the emergence of two clans, The Keepers and The Warband. These warriors and scavengers seek the last plant on Earth, which holds the power to re-grow life on Earth.”
The Apocalypse event will feature 35 new cosmetic items to collect for Operators Fuze., Gridlock, Maverick, Nomad, twitch, Maestro, Melusi, Rook, Smoke and Valyrie. Each of the exclusive cosmetic items will be available for purchase as bundles for 1680 R6 credits or through the limited Apocalypse Packs, which will cost 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown. Just like previous limited events with packs, the packs will not contain duplicates.
Rainbow Six: Siege’s limited event Apocalypse should be live anytime today, May 4 and will run until May 18.
