The Darkest Dungeon 2’s First DLC Called the Binding Blade Launches This December
/The roguelike turn-based RPG is getting its first DLC this December. The new content is called The Binding Blade and it adds a new roaming mini-boss and two new playable heroes — The Crusader and the Duelist.
The Crusader is a fan-favorite that was first introduced at the launch of The Darkest Dungeon. It was a staple hero for most compositions for players that it was surprise to see The Crusader not make a return for the sequel, but thankfully he’s coming back as DLC.
The Duelist is a new addition to the series as this hero is equipped with a rapier that can switch between defensive and aggressive stances, with abilities that allow her to ignore enemy defenses.
The Binding Blade DLC will also add a new mini-boss called The Warlord. They didn’t specify where this new min-boss will spawn but we’ll know more as the DLC will launch sometime in December.
Darkest Dungeon II is a rogue-like turn-based road trip of the damned. Form a party, equip your stagecoach, and set off across the decaying landscape in a last-ditch effort to avert the apocalypse. I reviewed the game and it was one of the most difficult games I played this year. Punishing but with enough progress that there’s slight hope you’ll make it.
The game launched in May of 2023 and has garnered mostly positive reviews from critics and players. It
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
