Star Citizen Will Be Free To Play for a Limited Time for a Special Event this November
/Cloud Imperium Games will be hosting a special event for Star Citizen called the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo, an in-game event open to all players that allows them to try out the many ships available in the many manufacturers currently available in a game that is still in development for over 10 years now.
This free-to-play event not only allows players to test fly select ships at specific times, but you also get to try out Star Citizen’s current state, complete with features such as the missions and combat currently available for play.
The game will be available for all players from November 17 until November 30. The expo will feature hundreds of different ships, all of which will be available for a test fly if a player wishes.
This isn’t the first time Star Citizen went free to play as the game held what they call ‘Free Fly’ events multiple times this year.
Star Citizen is on track to be the most expensive game in history as it was able to garner over $600 million in funding over a decade since it was announced through crowdfunding and purchases.
If you somehow like what you play during the free-to-play event of Star Citizen, the cheapest way to get into the game is $45.
In other news related to Star Citizen, its single-player campaign Squadron 42, which will launch first, is now feature-complete according to Cloud Imperium Games. This means that the team is now focused on polishing the overall experience, which has first-person shooter combat, spaceship dogfights, and a campaign brought to life with an all-star cast of talents such as Mark Hamill and Gillian Anderson.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
