Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy Announced
/THQ Nordic and Frozenbyte announced Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy a new entry in the long-running co-op puzzle platformer game. The new game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
This new entry seems like it will bring the usual elements that make the Trine series a fan favorite to those that love platformers. Trine 5 still features Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight, still equipped with the same weaponry that makes this game a fun puzzle platformer either solo or with two other friends.
Here’s a quick description of the game according to THQ Nordic.
“This 2.5D puzzle-platforming game full of adventures is set in a fantastical fairytale world, offering players twenty beautifully designed levels to explore. From glistening gemstone caverns to perilous underwater passageways - but be aware, the three Heroes are pitted against dastardly and duplicitous villains, who will stop at nothing to seize control of the kingdom. Whether by yourself or playing with up to three friends in online and local co-op, the Heroes of Trine must reunite to push back a fearsome Clockwork army and bring peace and justice to the land. The clock is ticking to save the world of Trine!”

For those unfamiliar with the series, Trine is all about figuring out how to progress to the next area with the use of the three characters at your disposal. Playing solo, you can switch between the characters or play with others either online or offline. With each character having unique abilities, each level takes into account on what each is capable of, and coordinating with another player to take advantage of each character is half the fun.
Trine 5: A Clockwork Consirpacy is set to launch sometime this Summer.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
