PSN - Borderlands PS Plus September game, new discounts coming

PSN Plus Next update for PS Plus has been revealed. If you haven't played Borderlands and subscribed to PS Plus, you're in luck. Borderlands joins the "Instant Game Collection" this September, as long as you're a PS Plus member, you can download and start playing Borderlands for free. Good timing too with Borderlands 2 coming out in a few weeks.

If you want to get the whole Borderlands package, all DLC content for the game will be 50% off. If you feel like getting only a DLC or two instead of the whole bundle, I suggest getting Claptrap's Robot Revolution and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, best DLC's among the four available.

Together with Borderlands, the update include some discounts:

Lights, Camera, Party! - Regular price: $29.99, PS Plus price: $15.00

Space Channel 5: Part 2 - PSN sale price: $4.99, PS Plus price: $2.99

Spelunker HD (With DLC) - Regular price: $9.99, PS Plus price: $5.00

Greed Corp - PSN sale price: $4.99, PS Plus price: $2.50

Space Channel 5: Part 2 and Spelunker HD goes live first on August 28. Borderlands, Greed Corp, and Daytona USA will then go live on September 4.

Borderlands 2 announced

Back in 2009, Gearbox released a littl cell shaded beauty that was initially thought to be something that wouldn't sell well. Skepticism was thrown out the window when Borderlands made it's way into the hearts of digital gun toting games everywhere.

To no real surprise, Gearbox has announced that one of the projects they have been working is, in fact, Borderlands 2. The game will still take place in the world of Pandora with a slew of new characters. The game will also include

"new and more diverse environments, smarter and more powerful enemies, and an improved mission system capable of delivering a better story.”

Game Informer's September issue will be having a cover story but the game will be fully unveiled in Europe at Gamescom and will mark its North American appearance at Pax Prime.
